We first opened our doors in Spring 2015, offering an immersive creative experience for all ages. Along with our paper bird cards we also stocked a large selection of papier-mâché items to decorate. We also sold art supplies, cards, prints, gifts, face-painting and birthday parties. To our local and visiting guests, we became a firm favourite, especially on rainy days!
In 2017 we took the opportunity to move to a bigger space on Island Street. To our delight our Paper Bird Island family continued to grow year on year.
In 2020 after the first UK Lockdown we reopened only as a shop, with our workshop space sadly closed.
…and in November 2020 we vacated the building due to the redevelopment of the site.
We have finally found a new home and reopened on 1st May 2022, just 2 mins from our old premises. We are now at Coves Quay, Thorning Street, Salcombe (Just off Island Street). We are not offering a ‘sit in’ service due to the nature of the space but have plenty of creative treats for you to take away with you. We sell craft kits, art materials, baby gifts, children's toys and games, cards, prints and gift wrap. You are most welcome to come and have a browse or buy online.
